How to know when to push limits?

A simple question we hear a lot...

What's the most sensible and sensitive answer in your experience and opinion? Again, this one is for both Dom & subs of course.

Love,

  1. Think about it. Consider how you feel about going further. Then talk about it with your play-partner. And consider how they feel about taking it further. Consideration, information, respect are the essential ingredients here!

  2. mmmm again, communication, i love to read my lover and watch when i can take just a lil control... just right there... push a little and make his eyes close and flutter... just the slightest bit of pain in the pleasure and hear him moan .. it's not that he is vanilla but he is not yet a kinkster and i love the small subtle push that can happen even in public.

  3. How about pushing your own limits...? How do you guys approach that? Is it 'just' a feeling of wanting to go further? Do you rationalise (as with others maybe)? How do you know you're not just getting 'carried away' by the moment? Ax

  4. Communication is absolutely key when it comes to things like this. I haven't been with a partner long enough to establish proper limits, so until I've been able to experiment fully with those, then I won't know when they need pushing. I think it's something that can either be mutually agreed on or raised by one party in discussion with another. It's only when it feels right.
